Increasing the number of Channels in your LT8R
The LT8R can handle a maximum of 8 channels. If your LT8R was purchased with 2, 4 or 6 channels it's easy to upgrade your LT8R with the 2-Channel board option(s). For example if your LT8R currently has four channels installed one option will upgrade to 6 channels, 2 options will upgrade to 8 channels.
The 2-Channel option comes with a multi-layer surface mount 2-Channel board (pictured)
hardware to mount it, full set of latest firmware (including the two processors needed by the new board), 2 plugs for the new repeater ports and installation instructions. (Note: new firmware assures there will be no compatibility issues with your firmware version and new firmware version)
Briefly, installation requires disassembly (removing the boards) so that you have proper access to the mother board to remove and reinstall new processors. Allow 30-60 minutes. The rest is simply programming and adjustments on the new board(s)
Once the option is installed, and home No's asigned to the new repeaters, the LCD will display the added channels.. and you're good to go.
